What: After publishing the zebra manifesto we heard from thousands of people interested in attending our conference. We decided to take a step back and host a smaller gathering of 150 people, DazzleCon 2017 (a group of zebras is called a dazzle!). This event, with speakers and workshops, will see to answer these questions:
- What is our collective definition of a zebra?
- How do we define zebra culture, ethics, and the problems they solve?
- What do zebra companies need to succeed?
- How are zebras funded, and what funding must we create to support them?
Who: We invite post-revenue founders who identify with the zebra ethos; have a product in market; and face capital challenges apply to join us. We also encourage foundations or investors actively seeking to create new financing instruments to apply.
Application Process: Attendees will be invited to register on a rolling basis. The cost is $450. Limited scholarships are available. We’ll be hosting a larger, public gathering in 2018. Applicants not selected will receive early-bird access to this event.
